Agenda:
---------

Here we'd like to post some of the agenda we have in mind presently. Coming straight to the point, we have set 3 primary goals ahead of us.

1. For the time being, the major part of our activities would involve raising awareness. This part obviously has two main facades.
A) On one hand, we need to attract more and more people in our programme, as we are merely starting our venture and urgently need more helping hands and monetary resources.
There are two main source of resources. Public funding and corporate funding. Hence our awareness programme need to take care of both (a)Mass Campaigning and (b)Corporate Campaigning...
(a) mass campaigning would basically involve public shows---plays, songs and other cultural promotions. For this we already have a few enthusiastic responses. But we'd like to have more and more people involved in our cultural promotional activities.
(b) I guess, this is the hardest part, to lure corporate fund into our programme. Somehow we have to present them some prospects of benefits for them from our activities. These benefits would generally be profits manifesting from publicity involved. This is a very important part of the agenda as most of the resources would have to come from corporate world.
Also e-campaigning would play a major role in both mass and corporate campaigning. We are designing our own website and soon we'll be on the web.

B) On the other hand, we need to make "underprivileged population", for whose rights we would like to work, aware of their rights themselves. As it is rightly said that if the elements of a society don't thrive for their rights, no outside effort can lead to its prosperity. For this the major effort would be given to education. Here we'd like to clarify our stand. We're not just looking to start another literacy campaign as we believe that only being able to read or write doesn't help unless you are well-aware about the relevant issues.

2. Secondly, at some stage we'd like to work as an interface between people and the authority. As is very clear to all of us that most of the times the needs and complaints at the ground level of socio-political hierarchy doesn't reach the upper levels of authority who provide resources. It's our goal to bypass the distance and to speak for the peoples' necessities in front of official(government) and unofficial(corporate) resource providers and to properly channelize the resource provided. This step is important because we don't have sufficient original resources to contribute significantly to our goal at the moment.

3. Last but not the least, we would obviously get involved in direct voluntary social work with whatever fund we can raise. We presently have connections with CRY and Prajaak.

For all of the above programmes we need to fix some target population first. To start with we would like to do a project on a small section of a city or some village and concentrate on it's issues. Later with growing strength, hopefully, we will be able to expand our range of activity.

And anyone willing to lend us a helping hand are heartily welcome. We'll send an invitation to you to join this blog and then you can share your views on our plans....and our dreams!!!
